Street Talk is now available here in Timaru, offering an alternative to students wanting to progress your licence faster, with 6 months reduction on the restricted licence!
The Street Talk defensive driving course has been written specifically to meet the needs of young drivers in New Zealand. The course teaches driving skills that will help teens on their restricted (6R) licence to pass the tougher driving test.
What is involved?
Students participate in four interactive sessions of two hours each, over a period of two weeks, plus a one hour practical driving session with our facilitator on a planned route around Timaru.
What's the benefit?
Become a safer and more skilful driver. This advanced driving course will provide you with life skills and tools essential to avoid or minimise driving situations that could otherwise lead to severe consequences. Don't become another driving statistic!
Those students who have successfully completed the course have been shown to be as safe a driver as those with more driving experience. In recognition of this, you will be able to use your certificate to reduce the time spent on your 1R restricted licence. If under 25 years old, you can bring the 18 months driving time down to 12 months. If 25 or over, you can reduce your 6 months driving time down to 3 months!
